Last week, at our 2010 Social Media Summit in San Francisco, there was much discussion around how to measure return on investment (ROI) for social media. How do you measure it? What are the best tools to use? One thing was clear, businesses want to know the secret ingredients in measuring ROI for themselves and their clients.
Speakers provided a wealth of tools to help measure social media campaign ROI. Jake Wengroff Global Director Frost & Sullivan shared one of his preferred, and free, metrics tools Hubspot. Hubspot is a modern inbound marketing tool that can measure campaigns by pulling multiple sites together into one location. CMO of COMMCreative and Boston Chapter President of the American Marketing Association, Myles Bristowe had several suggestions for helpful social network measuring tools including RapLeaf which helps brands gain customer insights so they can better understand consumer communications and interactions. And several speakers touched on the value of Facebook’s own analytics. But one thing was missing across the board, how do you track ROI for Twitter.
Well we have some exciting news for businesses across the world looking for ways to measure ROI of Twitter. Just this past Wednesday Mashable reported that Twitter will be releasing a Real-Time Analytics Dashboard! When will this be happening? According to the Twitter development team the Twitter Analytics Dashboard should be released by the end of this year. And the best part, it’s going to be FREE!
If you have some favorite social media ROI tools we would love to hear from you!
