As the social media world moves from video-first to, eventually, video-only, it’s more important than ever for nonprofits to keep up with the changing atmosphere. Chris Strub, the first person to live-stream in all 50 U.S. states, has made it his career mission to help nonprofits embrace the latest technologies in ways that are simple, efficient and strategic.

Chris’s proudest moment came with the Community Foundation of Louisville on Sept. 14, 2017, on #GiveForGoodLou Day, when he worked with the team on 23 live-streamed videos from all around the Louisville area.

Within a 24-hour period, the foundation helped raise more than $4.6 million for over 500 participating local nonprofits. Executing on a carefully manicured plan, Chris and a marketing intern used mobile live-streaming equipment to highlight local events, earning tens of thousands of views and driving conversation about hundreds of organizations throughout the day. In his session, he’ll tell this story.
