Arezu Sarvestani is an award-winning multi-platform storyteller with expertise in communications strategy, audience engagement, online advocacy, and crisis communications. With a background in journalism, she excels at developing campaigns that engage, inspire, and inform. She’s led multiple campaigns that have organically reached “trending” status, including a #UCSFStandsUp campaign to support federal funding for science. At UCSF, she oversees the enterprise social media channels, guides strategy on campus-wide campaigns, and offers employee workshops on social media best practices. Her past professional experiences include work in public radio and in biotech journalism. Her volunteer work includes organizing NASA hackathons and presenting social media trainings to non-profit groups. In her free time, she's working on a novel and learning to make digital art.
