Scott Thomsen

Scott Thomsen is the director of communications and public affairs for the Ventura County Fire Department in California and a past president for the National Association of Government Communicators. His previous work includes a variety of communications roles for a public owned electric utility and a 20-year career in journalism. An advocate for ethics in government communications and public service, Scott has led award-winning campaigns to promote emergency preparedness, the adoption of new technology and kitchen fire safety.
