Desarae Bradham is the Social Media Manager for the Philadelphia Department of Public Health and manages the Department’s Twitter, Instagram, LinkedIn and NextDoor accounts. She is responsible for the Department’s unique social media strategy and developing and approving content. Her unconventional ways of getting important public health information to residents include turning pop culture, memes, and social media trends into public health and pandemic response messaging. Her efforts have helped grow the Department’s social media presence by significantly increasing following and engagement across all platforms (and going viral!) and has helped solidify the Health Department’s social channels as a trusted source.
Desarae holds a Master’s Degree in Public Health and has worked in the field for 6 years. When she’s not scrolling through social media, she enjoys traveling and being a foodie.
