Angela Ramirez

Angela Ramirez is a government social media professional who is passionate about helping municipalities tell their stories and keep residents informed. She currently works as the Communications Manager for the City of Lakewood, Colorado, with a focus on strategic communications and digital strategy.

Angela began her career as a Social Media Strategist for the City of Tampa, Florida, where she played an instrumental role in bolstering the city's online footprint. Notably, Angela spearheaded the exponential growth of the City of Tampa's Instagram account (@cityoftampa), propelling its followers from under 1,000 to over 100,000 within five years. She attributes this growth to embracing emerging technologies and leveraging trends such as Instagram reels to connect with the local community.

Joining the City of Lakewood in October 2023, Angela brings a heart for public service and an aptitude for innovation to the role. She holds a Graduate Certificate in Social Media from the University of Florida and is currently pursuing a Master’s Degree in Digital Strategy.

In her free time, Angela enjoys exploring the breathtaking landscapes of Colorado with her husband and dog.
