Amanda Chamba

Social Media Lead
Seattle Public Utilities, City of Seattle

I am a social media strategist and content creator with nearly a decade of experience, more than half of it in government communications. My career began in high school, working the drive-through window at a fast-food chain. Before I even graduated, customers were leaving online reviews about my service, which led to an opportunity to join the company’s marketing team at just 17 years old.

Since then, I’ve built a career that combines creativity with strategy. I have been on-camera talent for content videos with Nordstrom's e-commerce site and social media, supported small businesses and restaurants, developed influencer campaigns, and led digital engagement in higher education. These experiences gave me a broad perspective on how people connect with content and how organizations can build trust online.

Today, I apply that perspective in government. My framework prioritizes innovation, real-time community feedback, and reaching groups often left out of digital conversations, especially youth under 25 and adults over 50. I work collaboratively with departments, agencies, and staff to create strategies that are inclusive and effective. My work has been nationally recognized for helping agencies strengthen transparency and build stronger connections with the communities they serve.
