Jessica Lang serves as the Assistant Chief Communications Officer for the Hillsborough County Sheriff's Office. She joined teamHCSO in April of 2021 and was promoted to the position of Media Relations Manager in November 2023.

In her role as Media Relations Manager, Jessica played a crucial role in enhancing the communication and media relations efforts of the Sheriff's Office. She worked to maintain a positive and transparent relationship with the media, coordinate media communications, and supervise and support the efforts of Public Relations Coordinators.

Prior to joining teamHCSO, her career journey equipped her with experiences from newsrooms to public relations departments.

She is a graduate of the University of South Florida, where she earned a bachelor's degree in Mass Communications.

She is a proud Tampa native, and it's that hometown pride that fuels her dedication to both her career and her community. In her free time, you'll find her soaking up every second with her family.

From pre-storm preparation to real-time communication and post-disaster recovery, we’ll walk through comprehensive storm response strategies, sharing insights and lessons learned to enhance future resilience.
