Amanda Dolasinski

Social Media Manager
U.S. Patent and Trademark Office

I've spent a lot of time looking into sewers, riding in the Weinermobile, and asking people on the street to smell a mystery scent.

It's all part of the gig, though.

I'm serving as the social media manager for the United States Patent and Trademark Office. I create content for USPTO's Instagram, Facebook, Twitter, and LinkedIn profiles, highlighting American innovation and creativity to educate the public on the importance of protecting intellectual property. Our Instagram audience has grown 42% in 12 months, recently surpassing 20,000 followers.

Previously, I was the #InfluenSewer, ahem - communications officer - for the City of Alexandria's Stormwater Management Division and Flood Action Alexandria program tasked with messaging about city projects to mitigate flooding. Inspiration from the NEORSD! And long before that, I was a newspaper and magazine reporter, notably covering the Army and 82nd Airborne Division.

I'm a proud graduate of The Ohio State University.
