Over half the population is actively engaging in social media platforms. They freely share what they think, how they feel, and what’s impacting their lives. Many public agencies and governments know they must have a social media presence to build strong community alignment, but it’s hard to prioritize social when there are so many competing priorities and limited resources.

In this session, you will learn how individuals feel about social media and what you need to inform your leaders’ decisions. In addition, we’ll cover how social insights can help optimize your strategies and programming to better serve your community. You will understand how to implement social listening to gather data beyond tags and mentions to implement new marketing strategies such as micro-influencer marketing.
