Anna Vacchi Hill is a Senior Public Information Officer (PIO) with the City of San Diego and has been the Social Media Manager for San Diego for the past four years. Her responsibilities include producing all content for the City's Instagram, Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn and Nextdoor pages, and providing social media training and staff development to all departments. She developed the City of San Diego's first social media policy and best practices handbook. In addition, as a Senior PIO, Anna manages media relations for the Mobility and Performance and Analytics Departments.
Prior to joining the City's Communications Department, she worked for then Councilmember Todd Gloria, now the Mayor of San Diego. Anna is a third generation San Diegan and graduated from the University of San Diego with a degree in political science. She lives in San Diego's best neighborhood, Hillcrest, with her husband and 9 year-old black lab.
