Matt is the city of Phoenix’s first-ever Digital Engagement Manager. It’s really just a fancy term for Best. Job. Ever. He oversees the content of the social media for the 5th largest city in the country, which currently has 107 accounts across more than 20 departments and 7 different social platforms. Matt spent 17 years in local news media as a producer, special projects coordinator and managing editor before making the jump to government where he now also facilitates internal and external marketing. But really, he’s just having fun getting to create social media to better engage with the residents, businesses and visitors of #PHX.
