Aisha Azimi is a strategic communications specialist with experience developing and implementing digital strategies for government agencies and local and international non-profit organizations. In her current role, she spearheads management of USAID/OTI's digital portfolio, including social media strategy and content creation on Twitter, Facebook and Linkedin. Her efforts have helped exponentially expand platform following and engagement across all channels by collaborating with experts and field staff to develop compelling content. When she's not online, she enjoys spending time in nature, volunteering with her community, reading, traveling, and producing videos and photos.

Case Study: How to Gain Buy-In & Make Metrics Digestible to Leadership Not Active on Social

Learn how to creatively bridge the disconnect between storytellers and leadership to demonstrate the value of social media to convey critical information and messages online. Through case studies and visual explainers, we'll discuss a few practical tools to make your metrics come to life for key stakeholders. 
  • Get organized - maintain a leadership user-friendly method of tracking your content & metrics, e.g. a google spreadsheet with content on a monthly basis. Share this with leadership on a weekly "look ahead" email.
  • Deliver a 1:1 briefing for leadership who are new to social or wary of its use by breaking down the social media process, including key metrics, and giving them an opportunity to ask questions for clarification. 
  • Identify who your internal key audiences are. Consider their needs when reporting out and open a channel of communication for ideas they may have for what they'd like to see on social.
  • Develop and strengthen relationships across your office so you have social media advocates available to vouch for your ideas.
