Keynote: How you can use the latest social media trends to reach Gen Z

For a decade (or more), higher ed has been focused on reaching Millennials. It was a shift - from print to digital … from Mariah Carey to Lady Gaga. And we adapted. Of course, just as we were getting good at reaching Millennials, a new generation of prospective students came along. That group, of course, is Generation Z. This group entered the world with a screen in its hand and has been shaped by the world they live in unlike any previous generation.

As we shift again, see what West Virginia University is doing to reach this new generation through social media. You’ll learn more about Gen Z; how higher ed can best interact with them, current social marketing trends (like Snapchat, social media video, Instagram Stories, YouTube, etc.) and how WVU is successfully using them to reach prospective students; and easy-to-implement tips to make the shift from Millennials to Gen Z.

The audience will leave the presentation with these takeaways:

  • The newest marketing trends like Snapchat, social media video, Instagram Stories, YouTube, etc.
  • Real-life examples of award-winning marketing campaigns from one of the industry’s leaders.
  • Easy-to-implement tips to make the shift from Millennials to Gen Z.

  • Looking forward to this session? Share it!
