Originally from Stowe, Pennsylvania, Rob Peeler came to University Park in 2002 after spending 2 years at the Berks campus. After receiving his degree from Penn State in Computer Engineering, Rob took a unique career path and started working as a teacher and faculty trainer for Kaplan Test Prep and Admissions, helping students achieve competitive standardized test scores and training other teachers to do the same.
In 2013, Rob decided to build on his interest in communications, social media, and web design and took a role with The Rock Ethics Institute in The College of the Liberal Arts. His position, newly created, gave him the opportunity to re-design the institute’s website and branding, lead the communications subcommittee for Institute involved organizations (The Consortium for the Study of Leadership and Ethics; Philosophy in an Inclusive Key Summer Institute), chair the College of the Liberal Arts Dean’s Staff Advisory committee, and run the communication campaigns for the Stand Up awards program through its 10 year anniversary. Currently, as Social, Digital, and Multimedia Coordinator for the College of Health and Human Development, Rob continues to lead social media and communications efforts at Penn State at a higher level.
