Erica Colaianne leads the social communications office (#UMSocial) and the strategic oversight of the President’s Public Engagement and Impact Initiative at the University of Michigan. In this capacity, she amplifies the breadth of research and expertise at the university while elevating dynamic content to educate and engage students. Driving the coordination of cohesive strategies and leveraging expertise to address societal challenges, she identifies collaborative approaches to communicate innovative and crucial information. Erica previously served as associate director for marketing and communications at Wayne State University, and has worked with healthcare organizations, nonprofits, and as a journalist.
