Assistant Director of Social & Multimedia StrategyTexas Christian University
Amy Peterson is the Assistant Director of Social & Multimedia Strategy at Texas Christian University (TCU). She is passionate about storytelling, digital engagement and all things TCU. Under her leadership, Rival IQ ranked TCU’s social media #3 in the nation.
With more than 15 years of working in social media, Amy has experience in social media strategy, content creation, and digital marketing. After graduating with a bachelor’s degree in journalism from the University of North Texas, Amy worked as a photojournalist for various newspapers, including her hometown paper, the Fort Worth Star-Telegram. She continues to hone her skills in visual storytelling - taking photos and videos featured on TCU’s social media accounts.
Driven by a commitment to community building and creativity, Amy stays at the forefront of social media trends and emerging platforms, ensuring that TCU's digital presence reflects the deep sense of community and pride found on campus. She works with a talented team of content creators, including one full-time social media specialist and eight student interns.
When not working, Amy spends time with her husband, 13-year-old daughter, and three unruly (but adorable!) dachshunds. She is a Horned Frog through and through and will soon graduate with a Master of Liberal Arts from TCU. Go Frogs!
