Carrie Mills is the social media manager for the University of Tennessee, Knoxville. With over 15 years of experience in entrepreneurship, marketing, and communications in both the nonprofit sector and higher education, Carrie brings a well-rounded, relationship-driven approach to the strategy and management of the university’s flagship social media accounts. 

Carrie is proud to lead a social media program that reflects how UT is a university on the rise—from nationally recognized academic programs and transformative research to athletic excellence and innovative student success initiatives, there’s no limit to the great stories and life-changing work happening on Rocky Top! 

Carrie earned her B.S. in communications from Carson-Newman University and her M.S. in strategic and digital communication from UT. When she’s not working, she’s usually reading, driving her kids to sports, or hanging out in a hammock.
