As social media manager, Leann is responsible for implementing UConn’s social strategy designed to reach more than half a million people following UConn’s institutional accounts. As the front door to Connecticut’s flagship university, UConn’s social media presence is designed to instill a sense of pride in the University’s substantial research portfolio, prolific D1 athletics teams, extensive community impact, and exceptional student life. Leann also helps manage social media for UConn’s live dog mascot, Jonathan the Husky, who has become a celebrity in his own right. Leann earned two degrees from UConn and dipped her toes in federal consulting and health communication prior to joining the social media team at her alma mater.
