Jamie Lewis serves as the senior social media manager at the University of Georgia. She oversees social media strategy and content creation for the university’s flagship social media accounts, manages a team of 30 student social media ambassadors, serves as a guide and resource for social media users across campus, and advises senior campus leadership on how to effectively leverage social media to increase brand awareness for the university.
Jamie graduated from the University of Georgia with a B.A. in English and is currently pursuing an M.A. in English from the university.

There are so many areas where it’s incredibly important for a social media lead to have a seat at the table: in meetings about emergency/crisis communications, in higher-level brand-strategy planning and audience development, and in conversations with various university communicators about how to best coordinate messaging.
