Karla Fung works as the social media manager of the University of California, Davis, returning to her beloved alma mater after a decade of being the voice behind many brands regionally, statewide and nationally on social media. As the UC Davis brand social media manager, she oversees editorial decisions for the flagship accounts working in collaboration with partners across the university and hospital campuses to make sure the breadth of stories are being told. She is passionate about shining spotlights on cultural and identity based communities to increase their visibility and help them grow. Karla manages a team of interns to produce creative social content to tell the UC Davis story, mentoring them along the way.
Outside of working in social, Karla loves to cook for her friends and family, tries to spend as much time outdoors as possible and buys more books than she can read.
