Social Media platforms are quickly becoming the standard form of distribution for today’s storytellers. Especially those looking to scale their audience quickly thanks to any vast number of ways to target content. But what does it really mean to have (and understand) an audience and what does it take for stories to resonate with them in meaningful ways? How do you expand global appeal while staying true to your voice? Uyen Tieu, GM of Great Big Story, discusses the origins of Great Big Story, a global media company designed for the 21st century consumer. With more than 1,400 micro documentaries in its library, Great Big Story has systematically built an audience of 10M cross-platform fans around the world – giving cinematic shorts a new role in an overly-cluttered social landscape.
