Vince Golla is Director of Social Media at Kaiser Permanente, which cares for 9 million people in eight states and the District of Columbia.
Reporting to the vice president for national public relations, Vince is responsible for making sure the organization uses social media to simultaneously extend/amplify the reach of its public relations efforts, and protect the organization's reputation. The role was created in 2009 and works closely with leaders in Kaiser Permanente's marketing, brand, advertising, and digital workforce organizations to create and lead a shared vision for social media in an organization of 170,000 employees and 16,000-plus physicians.
Vince joined Kaiser Permanente in 2005 and has held a number of editorial leadership roles for websites, magazines and other publications there. Before arriving at Kaiser Permanente, Vince was internal communications manager at PeopleSoft. Prior to that, he was a reporter and city editor in the Contra Costa (Calif.) Times' organization for 16 years.
