Lexie has more than a decade of experience in government, political and nonprofit industry communications, and is currently serving as the Digital Media Director for U.S. Senator Thom Tillis from North Carolina. A native Hoosier, she worked for former U.S. Senator Dan Coats in his Senate office and campaign in 2010, former Lt. Governor of Indiana Sue Ellspermann, veteran service organization Wounded Warrior Project and the Indiana House of Representatives. She grew up in rural Indiana, where her dad was a police officer and mayor of her hometown and she got the bug for public service early on before amassing her experience in local, state and federal governmental and political processes. Her expertise is in digital communications and harnessing organic growth in digital channels, managing established and emerging social media platforms for elected officials and focusing on brand management and constituent services. She’s handled crisis communications for Senator Tillis through many serious and important events, including a global pandemic, multiple hurricane seasons, three Supreme Court justice appointments and two impeachment trials.
Lexie is married to Aaron, a Marine Corps veteran who works at the Humane Society for Hamilton County in Indiana, and is Mom to a 14-lb. Boston Terrier, Tilly, and a rescued 85-lb American Pit Bull Terrier named Dripps. Tilly is the official mascot for Senator Thom Tillis’ office, and would love to meet you if you ever stop by the office.
